Курс: Студије британске културе (осн.) У оквиру предмета: Студије британске културе Предавачи др Светлана Стојић, доцент у пензији др Вера Ошмјански, доцент изборни курс Број бодова: 3.00 Садржај курса: мултидисциплинарно проучавање културе савремене британије од краја Другог светског рата до данас. У овом контексту појам културе дефинише се у најширем смислу као «целокупан начин живота једног народа». Циљ изучавања курса: упознавање специфичног културног контекста неопходног не само за употребу језика и изграђивање комуникативне компетенције, већ и за развој истраживачких и критичких способности студената, посебно на плану интердисциплинарних и компаративних проучавањ App.preduslovi_za_polaganje: Наставу могу похађати сви студенти Филозофског факултета који су након IV семестра положили испитe из Eнглеског језика 1 и Eнглеског језика 2 са најмањом оценом осам (8). Облици наставе:
интерактивнa предавања на енглеском језику уз пратећи визуелни материјал, презентацијe студената и дискусијe План курса: 1. недеља предавање - Introduction Theoretical analyses of culture, cultural studies, and British cultural studies. 2. недеља предавање - Social and Cultural Context a brief historical, demographic and political survey. 3. недеља предавање - Myths and legends definitions of the two concepts; changing interpretations e.g. Stonehenge. Arthurian legends. Lady Godiva. Boadicea (Boudicca). 4. недеља предавање - Customs and tradition invented and reinvented customs and traditions e.g. Christmas. 5. недеља предавање - Social classes the myth of classless society; criteria for class assessment; description of the main social classes; underclass and super class; social mobility; meritocracy; cultural nuances based on class. 6. недеља предавање - Family and lifestyle statistics of the structure of modern family; different classes different lifestyles. 7. недеља предавање - A sociolinguistic picture of Great Britain multilingualism; geographical and social variation of English; the notions of standard English, dialect, sociolect, accent. 8. недеља предавање - Gender women and employment; equal opportunities legislation; crimes against women; the ‘crisis of masculinity’. 9. недеља предавање - Essay writing essay types; stages of writing an essay; practice for the exam essay, revision of topics. 10. недеља предавање - Mass media the press in Britain; circulation of national daily papers; ownership; censorship. 11. недеља предавање - British cinema ganres in post-war British cinema: comedies, crime thrillers, "Swinging London", social problem, independent-experimental, heritage, hybrids, biopics. 12. недеља предавање - Britain in Film regional depictions; ethnicity and identity. 13. недеља предавање - Contemporary Visual Arts e.g. constructivism (Ben Nicholson, Victor Pasmor), abstract impressionism (William Scot, Roger Hilton, Alan Davie). 14. недеља предавање - Youth cultures/subcultures definition of subcultures; the birth of a teenager; from rebellion to complacence. 15. недеља предавање - Revision of topics and discussion groups Revision of topics and discussion groups
